Training - Instructor Guide

Post-Graduate Education:

In post-graduate level, Master’s and PhD programs are provided at Marmara University. General conditions required for applications, application procedures and admission process are listed below for Master’s, PhD and proficiency in art programs. Different programs may ask to provide additional conditions and extra documents may be requested. You need also follow the institute’s web site.

General Application Requirements:

Master’s degree:

 1) Having a bachelor's degree or the last semester of undergraduate education:

  • The prospective students who are in the last semester of undergraduate education are assessed with a prerequisite to complete undergraduate education within the prescribed time.

2) At least 60 points of ALES for referenced program:

  • GRE or GMAT test score can be valid instead of ALES.
  • Applications for prospective students to the Institute of Fine Arts who graduated from the Conservatory or Fine Arts, ALES exam is not required.
  • ALES, GRE or GMAT is not required for applications from abroad.
  • ALES is not reqired for non-thesis programs.

 

PhD:

 1) Having a post-graduate degree or the last semester of post-graduate education:

  • Some PhD programs are based on undergraduate degree. Post-graduate diploma is not required for these programs.
  • The prospective students who are in the last semester of post-graduate education are assessed with a prerequisite to complete post-graduate education within the prescribed time.
  • Non-thesis post graduate programs can apply for PhD programs

2) At least 65 points of ALES is needed for the program that is applied, 70 points is needed for undergraduate students:

  • GRE or GMAT test scores can be valid instead of ALES. 

3) English language proficiency for English programs:

  • Prospective students should have at least 60 points of UDS or KPDS exams
  • Instead of UDS/KPDS, any other result of exam that is approved by the University Council such as TOEFL, and IELTS are valid.
  • The same English language proficiency conditions are required for PhD at Basic Medical Sciences.

Proficiency in Arts:

1) Having a post-graduate degree or the last semester of post-graduate education:

  • The prospective students who are in the last semester of post-graduate education are assessed with a prerequisite to complete post-graduate education within the prescribed time.
  • Applications for prospective students to the Institute of Fine Arts who graduated from the Conservatory or Fine Arts, ALES exam is not required.

2) Minimum 55 points of KPDS/UDS exam score is required:

 Instead of UDS/KPDS, any other result of exam that is approved by the University Council such as TOEFL, and IELTS are valid.

Application Deadlines and How to Apply:

Pre-registrations are made by online announcement system.

Evaluation Process:

After the application process, written exam is required. The dates of written exam and interview can be informed on the web site of the institutes.

 

Registration:

The prospective students who have right to register are announced in the web sites of the institutes. Some programs may require a scientific foundation program for the students who have different Bachelor or Master Degree.
